Blackened Mahi Mahi with Mango Salsa
Cajun-spiced mahi mahi seared to a smoky crust and topped with a sweet-tart mango salsa. A tropical, protein-rich plate that's ready in twenty minutes.
Ingredients
Serves 4- 4 fillet mahi mahi fillets
- 2 tbsp cajun seasoning
- 1 mango
- 0.5 red bell pepper
- 0.25 red onion
- 1 jalapeno
- 0.25 cup cilantro
- 1 lime
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 0.5 tsp salt
Instructions

Dice the mango, bell pepper, red onion, and jalapeno and toss with cilantro, lime juice, and salt for the salsa.

Pat the mahi mahi dry and coat both sides generously with cajun seasoning.

Heat avocado oil in a cast iron skillet over high heat until smoking.

Sear the fillets 3 to 4 minutes per side until a dark crust forms and the fish flakes.

Let the fish rest a minute off the heat.

Plate each fillet and spoon the mango salsa generously over the top.

Serve with extra lime wedges.
