Seitan Bulgogi Lettuce Wraps
Sliced seitan marinated in a sweet-savory pear-soy bulgogi sauce, seared and tucked into crisp lettuce cups. A high-protein Korean-inspired hand-held feast.
Ingredients
Serves 4- 12 oz seitan
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 asian pear
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 3 clove garlic
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 head butter lettuce
- 3 green onion
Optional
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions

Grate the Asian pear and whisk it with soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ginger.

Slice the seitan thinly and marinate in the sauce for 15 minutes.

Sear the marinated seitan in a hot skillet over high heat until caramelized, about 6 minutes.

Pour in any remaining marinade and cook until it glazes the seitan.

Separate the butter lettuce into cups and rinse.

Spoon the bulgogi seitan into the lettuce cups.

Top with sliced green onion and sesame seeds before serving.
